Author's Notes: The events of this story take place after the 7th season episode "Birthright". Most of the events that take place in the TV series from that point on do not occur or happen differently in this "reality". (Pleae read the intro at the start of Chapter 1.) There is a sequel planned for this fanfic. Oh, and one more thing. If you are prone to crying over sad stuff, you might want to have a box of tissues handy for this story. Some of those who have read my other works of fan fiction have said that I'm very good at making people cry. Should I take that as a compliment?
